Who was your first celebrity crush?
My first celebrity crush was Daniel Son from 'Karate Kid'… I thought he was gorgeous and loved his accent.
Who’s your most recent celebrity crush?
Recently I’ve realised I have a strange crush on Alexander Armstrong (from the show 'Pointless' and the 'Pimms' TV advert) I don’t know what it is about him…
What song gets you on the dance floor?
When I’m out with my friends Beyoncé and 'Single Ladies' always gets me on the dance floor.
After a few drinks we always seem to think we know the routine.
What song reminds you of the most treasured moments in your life?
It’s a bit of a random one but it's 'Something's Got a Hold Of My Heart' by Marc Almond and Gene Pitney.
My mum used to love it so she always played it in the house or on car journeys when my sister and I were growing up so it's always a good blast from the past when I hear it - it brings back some great memories.
What makes you feel good more than anything else?
I love playing 'Just Dance' on the Xbox with my niece Caitlin (8) and my nephew Eoin (4) - we spend the whole time laughing …well it's mostly them laughing at how bad Aunty Kelly is.
What’s your most proud radio moment in your career?
In 2010 I won a Sony Gold Radio Award for an idea I had about supporting Joe McElderry when he was on the 'XFactor'.
I got to go to posh award dos and meet Louis Spence and Dermot O'Leary… it was the best night ever!!
And the most embarrassing?
When I interviewed 5ive with Justin (Lockwood).
I used to be a massive fan so wanted to act all cool but in reality I got really starstruck, went so red and didn’t know what to say. I said about two words in the end, and poor Justin had to do the full interview…I looked like a total fool.
Has anybody told you look like a celebrity? Who?
Not recently but when I was at school, people would say I looked like Carrie from the Stephen King's eponymous film (played by Sissy Spacek). I wasn’t very impressed!
Favourite food?
I love mash potato, it’s the best comfort food ever. I’ve been known to go to a carvery and bypass the meat and the veg and just pile my plate with mash. I always have some instant mash in the cupboard to have when I’ve been on a night out, it’s a nice easy snack, covered in black pepper…Mmmmmmn.
Favourite place?
My favourite place is sat in the bath with a good trashy book and a glass of wine. I love reading books cover to cover in one go and always leave my mobile outside the bathroom so I can have a few hours of silence.
What is your most treasure possession?
Most treasured possession would have to be a postcard that my mum sent me when she visited New York back in 1999.
My mum died when I was 21 and it’s the only thing I have with her handwriting on so it’s really precious to me – plus the message on it is very funny so it always makes me smile.
Who would play you in a film of your life?
I reckon anyone who knows me well would say Frank Spencer from 'Some Mothers Do 'Em.'
My life is always full of daft calamities - I’m always either locking myself out of my house, injuring myself, getting lost, losing my phone, tripping over - you name it, it happens to me, but I just laugh it off, I’m used to it.
What is your guiltiest pleasure?
I have two. First the 'Eurovison Song Contest' - it’s so bad it’s good. Last year on the night I had a themed party where everyone had to dress as one of the countries …we also had quite an interesting drinking game where you had to take a drink whenever the contestants wore national dress or when the presenters changed clothes or had an awkward moment .There were quite a lot!
I also love 'The Millionaire Matchmaker'– I record it on Sky Plus and watch loads of episodes back to back.
Tell us about your ideal weekend.
My ideal weekend would be getting to have a lovely chilled night with my boyfriend with food, wine and a good boxset then heading over to see my family for a catchup and then a good girlie night out with my best mate Denise.
