The English actors turn 50 this week. But is Hugh Grant's cheeky charm turning your legs to jelly or are Firth's brooding dark looks stealing your heart?

They were born a day from each other (Grant was born September 9th and Firth on the 10th), have acted in films together and they both have a quintessential Englishness about them. Hugh Grant and Colin Firth are two of today's most successful and dashing British actors and it's hard to believe that they are both going to be 50 this week!

Grant is an eternal bachelor and is still single since his 13 year relationship with Liz Hurley and his 3 year one with socialite and charity fundraiser Jemima Khan ended whilst Firth has been married to his stunning Italian wife Livia Giuggioli for 13 years and the couple have two children.

Despite this and playing love rivals in the Bridget Jones films, Grant and Firth are said to get on rather well in real life.
