Trek the Sahara

Looking for a challenge? Why not explore one of the world’s most iconic and beautiful landscapes whilst supporting Have a Heart?

Join our Sahara Desert trek from 1-11 March 2013. Guided by local Berbers, you’ll spend ten days traveling over 100km from the small dunes and tamarisk trees of the Jebel Bani to the magnificent heights of one of the world’s largest sand dunes at Chagaga. Ending in the vibrant hub of Marrakesh for a final day celebration, you’ll experience a truly epic landscape.

Let the camels take the strain of your packs as you trek by day, and marvel at the solitude of sleeping under the stars by night as you embark on this incredible journey.

Guarantee your place on the trek now by clicking here and registering with a £299 non refundable deposit.

  • To take part in the trip you’ll need to commit to raising £2250 for Have a Heart.
  • At least 60% of this will directly benefit the charity with 100% of any further funds raised going straight to Have a Heart’s work with vulnerable and disadvantaged children.
  • The Have a Heart team will be with you every step of the way to help with fundraising and prepare you for the trip of a lifetime.

The Sahara Desert Trek through Morocco is an Open Challenge. This means that you will be joined by trekkers supporting lots of different charitable causes. This gives you a great opportunity to share this special experience with people from all sorts of backgrounds and make some truly great new friendships along the way.

Have a Heart receives no statutory funding and we rely on the support of kind donors like you to support our important work. Monies raised from participation in this trek will go to ChildLine, the free advice and counseling service for children and young people in need of someone to talk to. It costs £4 for trained counselors to answer every ChildLine call so your fundraising really does help hundreds more children to access the invaluable service.

If you have any further questions about the trek please call Have a Heart on 0870 202 6000 or email
