Ipswich: New Appeal For Stab Witnesses

Police in Ipswich are making a new appeal for witnesses after a stabbing in Witney Close.

Police were called to a disturbance at a property on Witney Close, Ipswich just before 5am on Friday 6 April. Upon arrival a man was found with serious stab wounds and was taken to Ipswich Hospital for treatment.

 

The 32-year-old man has now been discharged from hospital and is recovering at home.

 

Five people were arrested at the scene and taken to the Martlesham Police Investigation Centre. Two 23-year-old women; a 20-year-old man; a 21-year-old man; and a 24-year-old woman, all from Ipswich, have since been released on police bail. They are due to return on Monday 21 May 2012.

 

Police are continuing with their enquiries and have viewed CCTV from the area.

 

A cyclist, possibly wearing a reflective top, was captured on CCTV close to a parade of shops near to Witney Close at approximately 5am, Friday 6 April. Police would like to speak to this person as they may have information, which could help the investigation.
