A280: Fatal Crash
A man and a woman from Littlehampton have died when their car was in collision with a 4x4.
Their silver Toyota Avensis hit a white Ford Ranger pick-up at around 4.40pm Friday evening on the A280 Long Furlong at Patching, near Worthing.
The man, 69, and woman, 70, both from Littlehampton, were pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the Ford, an 18-year-old man from Henfield, suffered a broken arm and was taken to Worthing Hospital.
The A280 was closed in both directions for several hours while emergency services cleared the road.
