Business loses £30k after Chester fire

The manager of a business based in the Chester Enterprise Centre that burnt down last week says he has lost £30,000 and a client list in the fire.

iSparkle was one of the 48 businesses left without an office after the fire last Thursday.

Manager Richard Lee says the cleaning company lost a full client list in the blaze that closed Chester Railway Station causing chaos for commuters.

Richard said:

"Our cleaner knows pretty much every house he cleans so we have been driving around Chester all day and all night.

"Out of 250 clients we have got 153 back already."

Any clients who have lost touch with iSparkle can contact them on 01244 347211.

Cheshire West and Chester Council have been relocating businesses like iSparkle who were affected by the fire.

A spokesman said:

"Around a third of the 48 businesses are now in temporary accommodation and our economic development team have been working closely with companies involved.

"12 businesses have been offered short to medium term accommodation at Chester University and a few others are considering temporarily relocating there.

"The remaining businesses are either working from home or are looking for long term accommodation or currently viewing commercial property."
