Chester woman goes missing from Cruise
A search is underway between Mexico and LA for a Chester woman who's gone missing from a Disney cruise ship whilst it was at sea.
The Mexican navy and Interpol are amongst those looking for 24 year old Rebecca Coriam after she didn't turn up for work on Tuesday.
Miss Coriam was working as a youth worker on the vessel which left Los Angeles on Sunday for a week-long cruise.
A thorough search of the ocean liner was said to have taken place when it docked in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, on Wednesday and the US Coast Guard and Mexican Navy were deployed to search the seas.
Her parents, Michael and Ann, from Guilden Sutton, have flown out to Los Angeles as concerns grow for their daughter.
Her sister, Rachael, and uncle, John Jennings, appealed for more information about the disappearance of Miss Coriam - known widely to her family and friends as Becca.
Chester MP Stephen Mosley has been in contact with the twenty four year old's parents. He told Heart:
"The ship has 2700 passengers on it and a crew of 950. So it is a huge ship and it is quite possible for people to not be found but we're hoping she is found safe and well."
"Her family have flown out to LA, and Interpol are going on board the ship to search for her."
"Her family are very concerned about her. I was speaking to her uncle and sister and they are very upset and do hope that they find her."
