Christmas Post in North West and North Wales

The manager of the Royal Mail sorting office which deals with all the post from North Wales and the North West is urging customers NOT to leave it to the last minute.

Heart Speaks to Royal Mail about Christmas Post here:

Royal Mail is reminding customers that Wednesday 15 December is the latest posting date for Standard Parcels to arrive in time for Christmas, Saturday 18 December is the last date for posting Second Class mail and that Tuesday 21 December is the deadline for posting First Class mail. Special Delivery items can be sent up to Thursday 23 December.

Extra deliveries will be made on Sunday 19 December and during the evening on both Wednesday 22 and Thursday 23 December to give customers another chance to receive items Royal Mail could not deliver on an earlier occasion.

If customers are out when delivery is attempted, customers can collect their post from their local delivery office, which will be open later than usual, from today (13 December). The opening hours will be on the 'Sorry, you were out' card left by their postman or woman.

By logging on to www.royalmail.com or by ringing their local delivery office (the number is on the card), customers can arrange redelivery of their Christmas parcels to their home address, a neighbour's address or their local post office.

*There will be no mail deliveries between 25 and 28 December inclusive, or between 1 and 3 January inclusive. Normal service will be resumed on January 4.
