Gypsy site plans for Wrexham

Wrexham Council has outlined three areas of the county that could be used for a new Gypsy and Traveller site.

Research suggests there is a need for a further 15 pitches by 2013 and another 12 pitches by 2021.

Suggested sites are in either Brymbo, Chirk or next to the existing site on Ruthin Road in Wrexham.

Mr Owen a resident in Brymbo says:

'There is enough traffic going through the area now. It's not an easy road to get through. I know they have got to have a camp, but all they have to do is extend Bersham Road because that site is the ideal site.'

Mrs Robinson a resident in Brymbo says:

'I don't know how many travellers they are going to put there but I'm sure it's not going to make the traffic that busy outside. I don't think it's going to affect the community.'
