i-Phone app to aid nights out in Wrexham

Police in part of North Wales are urging drinkers to download a special i-Phone app to help them on a night out.

It has been launched by Safe Wrexham and allows people to see a map of Wrexham town centre with information they can use to stay out of trouble over Christmas.

The campaign is designed to cut down on violence and trouble in the town centre over the festive season.

Sargeant Ian Massie says the app should have all the details you need for a safe night out.

He said:

"There's transport details, taxi offices, places you can eat and socialise as well as a list of all the pubs and clubs with contact details.

"There is also crime reduction advice."
