Man admits manslaughter in Buckley

A North Wales man has pleaded guilty to manslaughter after his victim died from a single punch.

Gafyn Denman from Mold in Flintshire admitted killing 24 year old Peter Jones who died from his injuries at the Countess of Chester hospital back in May.

The 22 year old from Woodlands Close will be sentenced on August 27th - the judge ordered a pre-sentence report to be prepared.

Ross Taylor, 22, of Llys y Wern, Sychdyn, Mold, admitted assault causing actual bodily harm on Mr Jones's father, also called Peter, on the same day.

Denman denied the assault charge and the prosecution said it was their intention for the allegation to lie on file.

Taylor was granted conditional bail with an 8pm-6am curfew by Judge Merfyn Hughes QC at Caernarfon crown court.
