Man bailed after M6 crash arrest

A man has been released on bail after being arrested following an accident on the M6 in Cheshire where two men were killed.

It happened on Thursday morning between junction 17 and 18 near Sandbach.

Two men who are believed to have been out of their vehicles parked on the hard shoulder died as a result of the collision when they were struck by a lorry.

The 60 year old lorry driver arrested was released on police bail later.

The road re-opened late on Thursday evening.

Cheshire police are appealing for witnesses who have any information concerning the collision which occurred at approximately 11.15am to contact police on 0845 458 000.
