Missing Chester woman's parents distraught
The parents of a Chester woman who went missing from a cruise ship off the coast of Mexico say their 'world has crumbled.'
24 year old Rebecca Coriam, a former Chester Catholic High School student, was last seen aboard the Disney Wonder on eight days ago.
She failed to report for her scheduled shift the following day.
Miss Coriam was employed as a youth worker on the vessel which left Los Angeles last weekend for a week-long cruise.
Police in the Bahamas - where the Disney Wonder is registered - said they have found no evidence to suggest 'foul play' on board the liner.
Miss Coriam's parents, Michael and Ann, from Guilden Sutton, were too upset to speak to the media but released a short statement which said:
'We have just flown back from Los Angeles after our world crumbled. We are very tired, drained and emotional. We wish to be with our family and friends.'
In a statement released on Tuesday, Superintendent Paul Rolle, of the Royal Bahamas Police Force, said:
'Officers had concluded investigations on board the vessel. At the present time there is no evidence to suggest foul play. The case remains open and under active investigation.'
