Plans to get tough on school parking

A North West council wants to make to roads around schools safer by using CCTV to catch drivers parking illegally.

As figures show that more children are walking to school, a Council in the North West is looking as using CCTV to make roads around schools safer.

Keep Clear Zones have been introduced around Schools throughout Cheshire.

Drivers caught parking there illegally will be caught and punished.

Parents Heart spoke to outside an Ellesmere Port school were pleased with the idea:

One mum said:

"I'm happy that it's obviously to help the children."

Another said:

"Kids don't think do they? They want to get home, and run out between cars, it's dangerous. They shouldn't be allowed to park on streets a school is on."
