Pony dumped in Flintshire

Animal welfare officers are appealing for witnesses after an injured pony was found dumped in Holywell.

The dapple grey mare was found on a lane in Babell on the 17th of March.

A local vet examined her and found she had a fractured jaw and needed treatment for an abscess.

The pony is now being looked after by the RSPCA care.

RSPCA inspector Chris Dunbar said: “This poor creature was dumped in the most abject of circumstances and was in considerable discomfort. If someone knows anything about this incident I’d encourage them to come forward and help us.”
