Real Nappy Week comes to Wrexham

Waste Awareness Wales are wanting mums in Wrexham to ditch disposable nappies and use real ones on their babies to save money and reduce waste.

Real Nappy week starts today and by the time a baby is potty trained around 5000 nappies will have been used and sent to landfill.

The annual event designed to give people across Wales the opportunity to find out more about real nappies and how easy it is to use them on their children, the week will involve a range of activities and events throughout Wales.

Catherine Knight from the Council says:

'In Wales we are throwing away two hundred million disposable nappies every year. So Real Nappy Week is here to raise awareness of Cotton Nappies and how they will reduce the waste being sent to landfill.'
