Woman found dead by Flintshire roadside

A woman has died after a she was hit by a car in North Wales in the early hours of Sunday morning and police say the driver didn't stop.

Detectives are now appealing for whoever was behind the wheel to come forward after the crash in Bagillt, Flintshire at 04.37 on Sunday January 30.

It happened on the A548, Louise Amison,31, died at the scene.

In a statement her family said: "Louise will be sadly missed by all family members and close friends.

"She leaves behind her three boys who she referred to as "me boys"; Jordan 14, Joshua 10 and Jack 8.

"She also leaves behind her mum Jane and sister Natalie.

 

A North Wales Police spokesman said:

"The driver of the vehicle failed to stop and report the collision."

A post mortem examination is expected to take place on the victim's body later today.
