Two suspects have appeared in court charged with murder after a man was fatally stabbed in Glasgow at the weekend.

Police Scotland said Brian Gough, 27, was found injured in Saracen Street, Possil, at around 5pm on Saturday.

Emergency services attended but Mr Gough, from Springburn in the city, later died at the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital.

A murder investigation was launched following the completion of a post-mortem examination.

Kyle Shanley, 26, and Kevin Shanley, 36, were arrested and charged in connection with Mr Gough's death and appeared at Glasgow Sheriff Court on Thursday.

The pair, of the city, made no plea to the charge of murder and were remanded in custody.
