Teenager charged with Bristol murder

A 14-year-old boy has been accused of murdering a man in St Paul's.

Avon and Somerset Police say they were called out to the junction of Ashley Road and City Road shortly before 6pm on Friday 21st June to reports of a man being seriously assaulted.

They found this man in critical condition after suffering injuries in a serious assault. The air ambulance and paramedics attended but he was pronounced dead just before 6.30pm.

A 14-year-old boy was then arrested early on Saturday morning, and has since been charged with murder, and possessing a bladed article. He's now due to appear at Bristol Magistrates' Court.

A man in his 20s was initially arrested near the scene on Friday evening but released on Saturday with no further action to be taken.
