New figures show FIFTEEN AND A HALF THOUSAND knifepoint robberies took place in England and Wales last year - with 184 in Hertfordshire.
The numbers also found TWO THIRDS the robberies nationally, went unsolved.
In Bedfordshire, the county's Police Commissioner is creating a new online directory to divert children away from crime - including older children who may end up carrying knives.
