Man Charged With Manchester Rape

A man will appear in court after a woman was raped in the city centre last week.

22 year old Haiekel Miguel Dasilva Tchicalo of Nancy Street, Manchester will appear at Manchester and Salford Magistrates’ Court on Monday 21 January 2019.

It follows an alleged attack on a 22-year-old woman who was walking along Liverpool Road and onto Water Street last Sunday (13 January) when she was approached by a man as she walked under a railway bridge.

Greater Manchester Police say the victim is being supported by specially trained officers.
