Armed Officers Called To Peterborough

Armed police have been called to a residential street in Peterborough after the sound of gunfire.

Cambridgeshire police have told Heart they were called today (Tuesday 19th) at 12pm to reports of the sound of a gun at a property in the Belham Road.

Then at around 230pm police say they arrested a 25 year-old man on suspicion of possession of a firearm with the intention to endanger life.

The suspect is being questioned at Thorpe Wood Police Station.
