Four men have been arrested on suspicion of attempt murder after a man was attacked in Surrey last night

Four men are in custody on suspicion of attempt murder after a man was attacked in Redhill last night (21 January).

Officers were called to an address in Ladbroke Road around 11.10pm after a seriously injured man was discovered inside the property. He was taken to hospital where he remains in a critical condition.

The men aged 35, 37, 50 and 46 years and all from Redhill, were arrested at the scene.

Detective Sergeant Leigh Wall, who is investigating the incident, said "This was a nasty attack which has left the victim with extremely serious injuries. We would, however, like to reassure the local community that it is believed these men were known to each other and that there is no risk to the wider public. A thorough investigation is underway to ensure those responsible are brought to justice".
