Man stabbed in Benfleet

A man from Southend has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after a man was stabbed in Benfleet.
The victim reported being attacked either in or near to his car in Eastleigh Road at around 4am on Saturday.
He was taken to hospital for his injuries and is in a critical but stable condition.
Police have completed house to house and CCTV enquiries in the area.
