Men robbed while playing table tennis in park

Thames Valley Police is appealing for witnesses following a robbery in Milton Keynes.

At around 7.40pm on Monday (15/7) the victims, two 19-year-old men, were playing table tennis at the park on Studley Knapp, Walnut Tree when they were approached by a group of unknown offenders.

The group attacked the two victims and stole their bag and its contents including a mobile phone and kindle.

The victims sustained injuries to the head. One of the victims attended hospital for treatment but has since been discharged.

The first offender is described as a white boy with tanned skin, approximately 16-years-old, around 5ft 9ins tall and of slim build, with short light brown hair shaved on the sides, acne scarring on his cheeks. He was wearing an olive t-shirt, light grey shorts, a thin gold chain around his neck and carrying a black backpack.

The second offender is described as a white boy, 16 to 17-years-old, with a pale complexion, around 5ft 9ins tall and of slim build. He had ginger hair which was short but untidy, with a patchy ginger beard. He was wearing a bright green t-shirt, black trousers and a purple sweatshirt which was hung around his neck loosely.

The third offender is described as a white boy, aged 15-years-old, around 5ft 11ins tall and of medium build. He was wearing a black zip up hoody, black jeans and black Nike TN trainers. He had a black face covering or mask which obscured his facial features. He had a raspy voice.

Investigating officer Detective Constable Kerry Mitchell based at Milton Keynes police station, said: “This was a frightening incident for the victims.

“The attack appears to have been completely unprovoked and I am appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the incident to contact police.

“Likewise, if anybody has any mobile phone footage of the incident, or believes they know the offenders, please call the 24-hour non-emergency number 101, quoting reference number 43190215852.

“If you don’t wish to talk directly with police, you can make a report online, or call the independent charity Crimestoppers 100% anonymously on 0800 555 111.”

A 15-year-old boy from Milton Keynes has been arrested on suspicion of robbery. He has since been released under investigation.
