Cannabis factory found in Cheltenham

Police discovery

A large number of cannabis plants have been found growing at a property in Cheltenham.

Police officers, who specialise in serious and organised crime, carried out an intelligence led drugs warrant in New Street on Monday afternoon.

208 cannabis plants were discovered there, before a further 152 plants were found at another property on the road.
 
The drugs are believed to have a possible street value of £300,000.
 
A 44-year-old man from Cheltenham was arrested on suspicion of the production of class B drugs and remains in custody.
