Three people have been injured, one of them critically, in a hit-and-run.
Two men - the driver and passenger of a stolen car - fled on foot after colliding with a Ford Focus car in Bishopbriggs, East Dunbartonshire, on Wednesday evening.
The red Mazda MX-5 was being driven along Kenmure Avenue at around 9.50pm when it crashed into a Ford Focus at the junction with Pollok Drive.
A 73-year-old woman, 54-year-old woman and 54-year-old man who were travelling in the Ford were taken to Glasgow Royal Infirmary.
The younger woman remains in hospital in a critical condition and the 54-year-old, who was driving the car, is in a serious but stable condition.
The road was closed for six hours as investigators attended the scene.
It has emerged the Mazda was reported stolen from Helenvale Court in Glasgow on Wednesday morning.
Police are following a positive line of inquiry but asked any witnesses to get in touch.
Sergeant Craig Beaver said: "We are still trying to establish exactly what happened here and are appealing for anyone who may have been in the area at the time of the incident to get in touch with us.
"The Mazda MX-5 is quite distinctive, it is an older-style vehicle with pop-up headlamps and we are asking anyone who may have seen it between 8.45am on Wednesday and 10pm last night to come forward.
"You may also have dashcam footage that could help us, please look back. Any small piece of information could help us."
