40 people including a 44 year-old man from Essex have now been charged over the on-going climate change protests in London.

Jason Pettitt from Manor Road in Colchester and 39 others have been charged with various offences including breaches of public order and obstructing the police and the roads.

Organisers of the protests say they've now cancelled plans to block the normally-busy A40 Westway in London today.

Extinction Rebellion say after a week of disruption they're changing tactics to focus on demands for politicians to declare a climate emergency.
