Teenager Dies In Lorry Crash In Northampton

A teenager has died after being struck by a lorry in Northampton last night.

Police say they were called to Booth Rise at around 915pm to reports of a collision between a lorry and a pedestrian.

The HGV was heading towards Mouton Way (ie away from Round Spinney) when it was in collision with an 18 year-old pedestrian, who died at the scene.

Police say they'd like to speak to any witnesses to the collision, or anyone with information, are asked to contact the Northamptonshire Police Serious Collision Investigation Unit on 101 or via the Drivewatch Hotline on 0800 174645, quoting incident number 521 of 29/01/19.

Earlier in the day (Tuesday 29th January), a motorist died and three other people were taken to hospital after in a crash involving 2 cars near Wellingborough.

It happened at just before 1pm on the Hardwater Road in Wollaston.
