#RunforSophie raises £15,000 for PAPYRUS

Andy Airey from Cumbria will run a half marathon in place of his daughter Sophie who took her own life just before Christmas

Sophie Airey took her own life 19th December, a week after celebrating her 29th birthday. 

Sophie was signed up to do the Northumberland half marathon in February with her husband, brother-in-law and friend. Now her dad, Andy Airey from Cumbia will run it in her place.

Andy was horrified to find that suicide is the biggest killer of under 35 year olds in the UK. He’s raising money for PAPYRUS – A charity that prevents young suicide. You can find out more about what they do here:
