Man in court charged over murder of T2 actor Bradley Welsh

A man has appeared in court charged with murdering Trainspotting actor Bradley Welsh.

The 48-year-old was shot as he walked down stairs to his Edinburgh flat on April 17.

Police confirmed on Monday that a 28-year-old man had been charged in connection with the actor's death.

Sean Orman appeared in Edinburgh Sheriff Court on Tuesday also charged with assault to severe injury, permananet impairment and a number of firearms offences.

Orman made no plea and was remanded in custody.

He is expected to reappear withing eight days.
