Emmerdate actor James Hooton, who plays Sam Dingle on the soap, recently shared a picture of his body transformation

James Hooton is known for playing Sam Dingle on the ITV soap Emmerdale but now he's making headlines for his body.

The actor looked unrecognisable in a recent snap he uploaded to Twitter which showed off his dramatic weight loss and muscles.

In the picture he's seen topless flexing some impressive looking muscles after returning from a session at the gym.

He captioned the photo "Session complete! #everythingaches" and fans were quick to praise him for his body confidence.

The impressive photo even captured the attention of some of his Emmerdale co-stars past and present including Adam Thomas, Jamie Shelton and Danny Miller who joked "What's this app called bro?".

Emmerdale fans are accustomed to seeing James covered up in baggy hoodies and jeans on the streets of the Yorkshire village.

Alongside proudly sharing snaps of his body transformation, he also shares details of his exercise regime which include climbing and running.
