The Deal or No Deal star is heading into the jungle today to join the rest of the I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here contestants.

Today is the day that Noel Edmonds is finally heading into the jungle to join the ten other celebrities on I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here.

It was reported last week that the Deal or No Deal presenter was set to be a late addition to camp and now ITV have finally confirmed that he is indeed joining the show.

But this isn't the first time the telly legend has been asked to sign up for a primetime reality show as it turns out Noel has been asked to join BBC's Strictly Come Dancing before but turned it down because of the curse.

Speaking to The Sun he said: “I have been asked to do Strictly. Liz is a fully-trained singer and dancer and a couple of years ago she said, ‘Why don’t we cheat? Why don’t we say you’re a novice and I’ll teach you before’."

“Then I think there was one of those curse moments and I said to her, ‘Are you comfortable with me spending five or six days a week with a half-naked woman draped all over me?’ And it’s funny how the conversation just changed."

His wife Liz has been much more enthusiastic about his upcoming stint in the jungle and has apparently even helped him prep for bush tucker trials by feeling him worms from the garden.

When asked what they tasted like the 69-year-old joked: “Exactly what you’d expect.”

Despite seeming enthusiastic about taking part in bush tucker trials, Noel has a curious fear, one you wouldn't expect from someone who is a trained helicopter pilot.

He told ITV: “I am not great in confined areas. For a helicopter pilot it is strange to admit I have a fear of heights. You can overcome phobias when you treat them logically but I may well succumb."

"I am going to give it my best shot. Whatever I do, I’m determined not to let people down. I have a fear of letting people down. I am a team player.”
