A teenager who died when a car came off the road and hit a tree has been named by police.
Jack Frame, 16, was the front passenger of the blue BMW in the crash in Lesmahagow, South Lanarkshire, in the early hours of Sunday.
The vehicle, carrying four people in total, was travelling northbound on New Trows Road near Hollandbush Golf Club when it crashed at around 2.20am.
Jack, who was from nearby Coalburn, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver and two other passengers - two men aged 20 and 18, and a 19-year-old woman - were injured in the crash and taken to hospital for treatment.
They are all described as being in a serious but stable condition.
The road was closed for around six hours to allow investigations to take place.
Sergeant Ryan McAuley, of the road policing unit at Motherwell, said: "An investigation is currently under way to establish the exact circumstances surrounding this incident and I would appeal to anyone who witnessed the crash or anyone who may have seen the car immediately before the crash occurred to come forward.
"I also urge anyone with dash cam footage of the BMW car in the area to contact police urgently."
