Woman attacked in Glasgow as men tried to rob her

Officers are appealing for information after a woman was assaulted and pushed to the ground whilst walking her dog in Toryglen on Monday 27th May 2019.

Around 4.30pm on Monday afternoon, the 58 year-old woman was walking her dog in Glenmore Avenue, Toryglen, when she was approached by two men who pushed her to the ground and tried to steal money from her, however they ran off empty handed.

The two men are described as white, 5ft 4 inches - 5ft 5 inches in height and in their early twenties. They were both wearing dark coloured clothing. The woman was uninjured, however she is badly shaken as a result of this incident.

Detective Constable Mark Milroy of Helen Street Police Office is appealing for information. He said: "We have been carrying out enquiries to identify the two men responsible for this attack and would ask any members of the public who may have seen this incident take place, or who has information that will assist our enquiries to please come forward."
