The new Independent Group of MPs has met for the first time and chosen a "convener", Bedfordshire MP, Gavin Shuker.
The Luton South MP and former Labour backbencher won't be known as a leader but will be responsible for arranging meetings and overseeing structure.
The group is made up of eight old Labour MPs and three former Conservatives.
