Teenager confronted by Wellingborough knife-man

A teenager playing football has been threatened by a stranger with a large knife in Wellingborough.
It happened yesterday, Tuesday 26th Feb, sometime between 520-540pm, close to Eastfield Park.
The victim was playing football with friends and went to retrieve the ball as it had rolled into the underpass on Gold Street.
In the underpass, he was confronted by a man brandishing a 10 inch knife, who was described as being black, around 17, 5ft 10in, average build, wearing a black puffer jacket with the hood pulled up.
Police say anyone with information should contact Northamptonshire Police on 101 or make an anonymous report to Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
