The Chatty Man comedian is in talks with bosses to star in next year's series after appearing briefly as a guest at the Strictly Come Dancing 2018 final.
BBC bosses are said to be in talks to recruit 42-year-old comedian Alan Carr for Strictly Come Dancing 2019.
The Chatty Man star is reportedly already being wooed to join the show next year and producers think he would make the perfect contestant.
According to The Sun, a source revealed: "Alan has met with the bosses and they all hit it off straight away.
“He’s a perfect celebrity for Strictly because he’s popular, funny and throws himself into everything — but has never had a day’s dance training in his life. What’s certain is he won’t hold back.”
Fans of the show will remember he made a brief appearance at the Strictly final over the weekend to read out the voting terms and conditions - is this a clue that he's heading to the ballroom next year?
Stacey Dooley and Kevin Clifton were the 2018 Strictly Come Dancing champions.
Even Tess Daley has confirmed bosses already have some contestants up their sleeves.
She said: “People have been approached. I’ve heard there’s a few who have already confirmed.”
So far there are no other rumoured names floating around but the thought of Alan Carr in sequins is enough to get us through the year long wait until the next series of Strictly!
