Holly, 37, has won rave reviews after I'm A Celeb pulled in record-breaking viewing figures - but some fans were left confused over the presenter's new sound.

While Holly Willoughby has proved hugely popular with I'm A Celeb viewers, some fans have been left curious about the presenter's husky voice - and it all links back to a previous health concern.

Back in 2013, Holly had an operation to save her voice after months of experiencing pain due to nodules on her vocal chords.

Amazingly, she only took two days away from her This Morning presenting duties to recover from the operation that is more commonly used for singers, prompting Holly to joke that she could follow in the footsteps of Adele and launch a music career.

Shortly after the surgery she tweeted: "Phew! Nodules gone, operation a success. After Adele had hers done, she won a Grammy... Fingers crossed! xx"

I'm A Celeb fans were quick to notice the change in Holly's voice and took to social media to find the answers.

One person tweeted: "Has anybody mentioned Holly's husky voice. It's rather sexy."

Another put: "I love Holly but why does her voice sometimes sound like a high pitched croaky whisper?"
