Make the most of your annual leave with some clever booking-off for 2019.
With the weather taking a turn for the worse, the temptation to book some summer sun is starting to infiltrate thought processes across the UK.
With a limited number of annual leave days granted for employees, some tactical booking could see you double the amount of time you can take off in a year.
Here's how to make the most out of your holiday allowance for 2019...
Easter and May bank Holiday
Booking nine days of annual leave will actually grant you a 17-day break, due to Good Friday falling on 19th April and early May Bank Holiday on 6th May, which give you extra 'free' days off.
Book: April 23rd, 24th, 25th, 26th, 29th, 30th, May 1st, 2nd and 3rd.
Spring bank holiday
If you book Friday 24th May off, before the bank holiday Monday on the 27th, you'll get a nice four-day break.

August bank holiday
By booking Friday 23rd August, you will get a nice four-day weekend in (hopefully) a nice, warm time of year - as it's bank holiday Monday the following week, on August 26th.
Christmas
Who doesn't want a long festive break? With Christmas Day (25th Dec), Boxing Day (26th Dec) and New Year's Day (1st Jan) being public holidays, by booking time off around these will lengthen your break to a nice 12 days, using just five of your annual leave.
Book: December 23rd, 24th, 27th, 30th and 31st.
