Joel Dommett had to pull out of his Extra Camp presenting duties last night
Joel Dommett has been forced to miss Extra Camp...tonight after sustaining a nasty head injury which saw him rushed to hospital.
The presenter, who co-hosts the I'm a Celebrity spin-off alongside Scarlett Moffatt and Joe Swash, was given stitches after a piece of set crashed onto his head during rehearsals.
He took to Instagram to document his stay, posting a photo of his head being treated by a doctor alongside the caption: "Unfortunately due to unforeseen windy circumstances blowing the set onto my head during rehearsals, I won’t be able to present Extra Camp this evening.
"I had seven stitches like a big brave boy and I’ll be back tomorrow. To be honest I’m less worried about my health and more worried that the show will be better without me. Half a day off school to go home and watch neighbours! Woo! GOOD LUCK @scarlettmoffatt and @realjoeswashy".
Fans rushed to offer their well wishes to Joel, with one writing: "Poor Joel. It was rubbish without you fyi xxx".
Another added: "Hope your feeling better soon. Xx".
A third joked: "If you’ve had an accident at work that wasn’t your fault...."
Scarlett Moffatt reached out to her co-presenter on Instagram, posting a photo with last night's guests alongside the caption: "What a team... just missing my right hand man & fellow jungle hammock swinging buddy Joel."
Last night's episode of I'm A Celeb saw Anne Hegerty take on the latest Bushtucker trial.
Meanwhile, Anne Hegerty, 60, was selected by the public to take on the Monstrous Monoliths trial, in which slime and mealworms were poured over her head.
The Chase star ended up quitting the trial after only scoring two stars, but Holly Willoughby and Dec Donnelly were quick to praise her for attempting the gruesome task.
"You tested yourself and you've done brilliantly. We're really proud of you," said Holly. And Dec added: "Well done for coming down here and facing it head on. That takes guts."
Twitter users were quick to offer their support to Anne, who has Asperger's, with one fan writing: "Anne, you’ve done absolutely amazing! Well done Anne! #ImACeleb".
Another said: "Least Anne tried.. If you don't understand autism look it up and them comment on Anne's effort on the trial #ImACeleb".
And reigning Queen of The Jungle Toff wrote: "I think that was the first time in history that the whole of the UK wanted a Chaser to win. Love Anne Hegerty #ImACeleb".
